You may be aware of the broad DNS issues caused by a DDoS attack against DNS provider Dyn.
AssureSign does use Dyn services and noted certain issues with communications early on the morning of 10/21/2016. At no time were AssureSign services completely offline. Certain customers or signers may have experienced periodic issues connecting to services, but overall our expected hourly and daily volumes for document submissions and signing were met.
AssureSign did cut over DNS services to our secondary provider on Friday afternoon when it became clear the attack did not seem to be diminishing.
This was not an attack affecting the security of documents or data, and at this time all of our services are operational.
