Template Cache

Overview

All templates are located and managed centrally on the AssureSign site. Downloading each template individually every time the template is needed would introduce unnecessary sluggishness to the application. Instead, all available templates are downloaded at one time and cached locally for faster access.

This does mean that when a template is added or changed on the AssureSign site your computer may not have access to the most recent data. To help mitigate this, the Send to AssureSign application will automatically check for new data periodically (the default is 7 days). This may be configured manually by changing the "CacheRefresh" setting in the application configuration file. Additionally, you may force a refresh of the cache by following these steps:

  1. Click the "Options" button in the main menu bar.
  2. Select the "Templates" tab.
  3. Click the "Refresh" button.

It's also possible to manually delete the cache by deleting the .dat files in %appdata%\AssureSign\SendToAssureSign
