We have begun working on a new document setup interface that we are re-designing from the ground up to provide a simple, intuitive, and streamlined process for quickly sending out documents for signature. The initial version of this interface (expected later this year) will only provide a subset of the setup functionality currently available in the existing interface. Following the initial release we plan on continuing to add functionality to the new interface which will include feature parity with the existing interface as well as some enhancements that aren't currently available.

As part of our work towards launching the new document setup interface, we are are making an underlying change so that all documents will be contained in an envelope. This shift towards an envelope-centric focus will allow us to simplify and standardize the way users interact with documents from both a user interface and an API perspective. In the current version (and previous versions) of the application, envelopes were only available when setting up documents via the API. Moving forward, however, we will be making envelope setup available via both the API and the web user interface. Please note that this will not be a breaking change and will NOT involve any visual changes to the existing document setup interface or require any code changes for clients that have integrated with AssureSign using our API.

Stay tuned over the next few months as we will begin to provide more details on the new document setup interface.

In addition to the ongoing work discussed above, this release also includes several bug fixes and optimizations.

No downtime is anticipated for this rollout.
